As a 2026 grantee of the NAMM Foundation, Girls Make Beats was honored to participate in this year’s NAMM Show, amplifying the voices, talent, and leadership of the next generation of music creators on a global stage. Girls Make Beats made a powerful statement at this year’s NAMM Show—stepping into the spotlight across multiple stages, activations, and historic moments that highlighted the future of music education and representation.
From speaking on the Grand Rally stage to performing alongside legendary artists, Girls Make Beats demonstrated what’s possible when young girls are given access, opportunity, and belief.
A Defining Moment on the Grand Rally Stage

Founder and Executive Director Tiffany Miranda took the stage at the NAMM Show’s Grand Rally, sharing the mission and impact of Girls Make Beats in front of a global audience of industry leaders, educators, and innovators.
What began years ago as a dream has evolved into a nationally recognized movement—one that places girls at the center of music creation, technology, and leadership.
Performing with Legends
Girls Make Beats students delivered a powerful performance at NAMM, sharing the stage with fellow NAMM Foundation grantee and youth organization Roots of Music, alongside legendary bassist Victor Wooten and iconic drummer Chad Smith for an electrifying rendition of Superstition by Stevie Wonder. The collaboration symbolized more than a performance—it represented intergenerational connection, mentorship, and the passing of the torch to the next generation of music creators.
For many of the girls, it was their first time performing at a global industry event—an experience that reinforced confidence, artistry, and the reality that they belong in these spaces.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Access: Interviewing Stevie Wonder
In a truly unforgettable moment, Girls Make Beats students were also given the opportunity to interview the legendary Stevie Wonder. Engaging directly with one of the most influential artists in music history offered the girls rare insight, inspiration, and validation—an experience that will shape their creative journeys for years to come.
Activations, DJ Sets, and Industry Presence
Beyond the main stage, Girls Make Beats activated throughout the NAMM Show with a dedicated DJ tent, where students showcased their skills, connected with attendees, and demonstrated the power of youth-led creativity.

Girls Make Beats also DJed the Women of NAMM Reception, providing the soundtrack for a celebration of women leaders across the music industry and further solidifying the organization’s presence as both educators and creators.
More Than a Moment—A Movement
Girls Make Beats’ presence at the NAMM Show was not just about visibility—it was about impact. From speaking engagements and legendary collaborations to interviews, performances, and activations, the organization exemplified what it looks like to invest in girls early and fully.
Each moment reinforced the core belief behind Girls Make Beats: when girls are given access to music education and technology, they don’t just participate—they lead.
