Girls Make Beats was honored to serve as the official DJ for the 2026 Grantmakers for Girls of Color (G4GC) National Convening in Charlotte, North Carolina, bringing energy and inspiration to a gathering of advocates, philanthropists, educators, and youth leaders from across the country.
G4GC's mission is to support transformative organizing work through the cultivation and mobilization of resources, particularly work that centers the wisdom and wellbeing of girls and gender-expansive youth of color. The convening featured powerful conversations led by renowned voices including Tarana Burke, Alencia Johnson, Dominique Thorne, and G4GC President and CEO Dr. Monique Couvson, all focused on advancing equity and opportunity for girls and gender-expansive youth.
Throughout the event, GMB's "DJ Guess Who" from NYC and "DJ Mo Smilez" from ATL, provided the soundtrack for networking sessions, celebrations, and key moments, showcasing the confidence, professionalism, and technical skills they have developed through the program.
Girls Make Beats is grateful to G4GC and President and CEO Dr. Monique Couvson for the opportunity to be part of such an impactful convening and looks forward to continuing to inspire and empower girls through music and technology.
